Agrifirm Plant, together with a series of involved parties, on 26 September in Vredepeel started accelerated research that is focused on the organic decontamination of soil that is contaminated with nematodes. This new and unique way of ground treatment (‘Soil Resetting’) addresses the question of the use of the usual product, Monam. ‘Soil Resetting’ can offer an environmentally friendly – and safe for neighbours – alternative to the use of Monam. Since 25 August, the use of Monam has only been permitted with strict preconditions. The project is financed in 2104 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, which approved the request from LTO Nederland.
